Nine years ago I was invited by a friend to attend a Christian Science church. Being much impressed by the peace and harmony there, I went again and again and began to read Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I studied the chapter on Prayer, which resulted in my throwing away the material remedies on which I had relied.

All my life I had been the victim of a virulent form of nasal catarrh and had always had to breathe through the mouth. One night I realized that a perfect God could not make anything that was imperfect; and I was startled to find that I was breathing through the nostrils and that all inflammation was gone. Influenza, which seemed to attack me each time It was epidemical, was overcome through the loving work of a practitioner. In twenty minutes I was able to get up. These healings have been permanent.

For several years I had something I needed to sell and had many offers, none of which materialized. Recently a practitioner pointed out to me that there is but one business, that of doing God's will. This thought quickly effected a sale, and I was enabled to live in much more harmonious surroundings and to have more time to devote to work in the church. I am most grateful for the work of practitioners. I rejoice in membership in The Mother Church and a branch church and for class instruction. My heart is full of gratitude to God for Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, and for Mrs. Eddy, who has made his teachings understandable to us, and for the Christian Science movement.
