In 1924 I was very ill, and although I got better I was left very deaf and weak. After I had tried for eighteen months to get strong enough to be active, a friend sent me a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Not at all wanting to read any kind of book, but wishing to please this friend, I opened the book just to look at it, but later found I had read for an hour without stopping. This was the turning point for me. Through steady reading I was soon healed of deafness, sleeplessness, and gradually of nervousness, which had been acute for some years, and the weakness began to be replaced with strength in every way. As I continued to read and use what I learned, I came out of bondage to many things, until now, ten years later, I hardly know what it is to feel tired or depressed, but know my remedy if error tries to loom up.

I am very grateful to loving friends who have helped and encouraged me on my way; for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, and the gift of activity therein; also for class instruction. I hope I may in some measure prove my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for her great love for God and man. I am profoundly grateful to God for His great gift to all His children.—(Miss) Flora Elsie Walters, Bournemouth, Hampshire, England.
