The station announcer made the statement: This is the Columbia Church of the Air, and the Christian Science program presented to you is coming from the studio of Station WJSV, is Washington, D. C. This program is approved by The Christian Science Board of Directors of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. It is conducted by William G. Biederman, Christian Science Committee on Publication for the District of Columbia. The subject of Mr. Biederman's address is "Who Is My Neighbor." The soloist is Mr. Floyd Jennings, with Mr. Byron Boldgett at the organ. We now turn the service over to Mr. Biederman.

Two hymns from the Christian Science Hymnal were sung by the soloist, the first being No. 386. Following this, Mr. Biederman read an address substantially as follows:

Picture yourself on a gently sloping hillside. You are standing near a large group of people who are discussing the serious problems of life. One of them, a lawyer, rises and addresses the central figure, Jesus the Christ, saying, "Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" Answering, the Master directs him to give the first commandment of the law, to which the speaker replies, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself." To this Jesus declares, "Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live." Then from the lawyer comes the momentous question, "And who is my neighbour?"
