Joyously I praise God and acknowledge my debt to Mrs. Eddy for Christian Science. It has made God real and available to me as ever-present Life, Truth, and Love. It has made me a student and lover of the Bible; and although I am of Jewish parentage, it has reconciled me to Christ Jesus. It has also improved my disposition and healed me physically.

Many times I have relied on Christian Science in cases of physical ailments, and it has always brought healing. A great variety of mortal ills have yielded to treatment, including stomach disorder, faulty elimination, skin eruptions, sore throat, influenza, catarrh, aches, pains, colds, coughs, and what would be considered a severe case of neuralgia. Instances of divine protection have been numerous. Christian Science has taught me not only to be thankful, but also to know to whom I shall give thanks.

I shall never forget the calm and peace I immediately experienced upon first reading the Preface and chapter on Prayer in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." It was a revelation, correcting my faulty preconception of Christian Science, Christianity, and true religion.
