It is advisable and necessary for all Christian Scientists to be well informed as to the laws of their respective jurisdictions, which apply to the practice of Christian Science and the paying of fees to Christian Science practitioners for treatment. Obedience to such laws is essential, and is especially necessary in countries where Christian Science is less known than in those using the English language. The greater the lack of knowledge of its beneficent nature, the more likely may be the uninformed to grossly misrepresent its significance and standing. Committees on Publication in their respective countries are glad to inform Christian Scientists on these subjects. In accordance with instructions from The Christian Science Board of Directors, the Committees on Publication all over the world assist in protecting the rights of Christian Scientists under the laws of their states or countries against abridgments by persons exercising public authority, whether it be executive, judicial, or legislative, but in each case their efforts are directed toward the protection of the Cause of Christian Science.

Some readers of the Christian Science Sentinel have expressed their hearty appreciation of the Bible Notes appearing weekly in its pages. Originally these notes were printed at intervals on the Feature Page of The Christian Science Monitor. Then they became so valued that they were transferred by The Christian Science Board of Directors to the Sentinel, a religious publication.
