Before coming into Christian Science I always had a great fear of dogs. While I was walking along the street, after taking up this study, a large police dog sprang up to my face. His nose touched my cheek, but I had absolutely no sense of fear. The owner of the dog was a short distance behind, and as he came nearer he said: "You have an umbrella swinging from your arm; he has been struck by one and he probably thought you were going to strike him. I am glad you were not afraid, and that he did not bite you."
The religious article on the Home Forum page of the Monitor has always brought me much satisfaction. The abundance of help I have received from these articles could not be estimated.
When I was going through class the teacher dismissed us by telling us that, when we had a problem to solve, we should go to the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's works for our answer. By doing this, I have overcome erroneous physical conditions, including a severe heart attack and muscular rheumatism. The need for supply has also been met by the study of these books. They have taught me that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." I have also been healed of inflammatory rheumatism with the help of a practitioner.
