My heart goes out in gratitude to God for many blessings...

My heart goes out in gratitude to God for many blessings received. Mrs. Eddy tells us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 1), "Desire is prayer; and no loss can occur from trusting God with our desires, that they may be moulded and exalted before they take form in words and in deeds." I have proved this over and over again in many ways, having been healed, blessed, and comforted through the teaching of Christian Science, and every member of the family has shared in and received some of these gifts. My gratitude can never be put into words, it can only be lived; and that I may ever be kept faithful, and enabled to help others as I have been helped, is my earnest desire.

I have been healed of fear, which for many years had bound me down mentally and physically, of constipation after taking medicines for over twenty years, and of all desire for alcohol in any form. I have been freed from an acute sense of loss and separation; also from an inordinate love of material possessions; but I am especially grateful for the healing of a badly damaged shoulder and arm resulting from a fall on the street pavement. This healing was accomplished through the devoted and consecrated work of a practitioner; and I derived much spiritual grace from the help extended to me in this case.

Twice Christian Science was brought to my notice by a friend, and I refused it; then came a time when I was glad to ask for and accept it. It was the reading of a testimony in a Sentinel on the healing of fear, followed by hearing one given on a Wednesday evening in a Christian Science church, that first gave me hope and joy in place of despair and discouragement, and led to my healing, to the glory of God.
