If I did not give a written statement of gratitude for...

If I did not give a written statement of gratitude for Christian Science, I should feel I was ignoring the words of the Psalmist, who says, "I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people," and, "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases."

Fourteen years ago, when I first heard of Christian Science, I was deeply embedded in the beliefs of sickness and material remedies, full of fearsome beliefs which I had acquired as a trained nurse. If I had been cured of these fears only, I should be very thankful, but more and more good has unfolded to me. I loved the first chapter, on Prayer, in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy; and by reading this book I was immediately cured of tonsillitis and chronic constipation. During the first few months I was often tempted to use medical remedies, but since then our family of three have used no medical or surgical aids to health.

Our boy was quickly helped through measles, chicken pox, and an illness produced by compulsory vaccination. Mumps, warts on the hands, ptomaine poisoning, abdominal pains, fear of appendicitis, business and home problems have all been overcome through this truth.
