It is with profound reverence and love for God and Christian Science that I submit this testimony.

While engaged in the teaching profession I had a severe attack of kidney trouble. Physicians and medicine proved of no avail. While error seemed to be screaming loudly and an operation loomed large to material sense, my mother, who is a Christian Scientist, asked me to have absent treatment from a practitioner living one hundred and forty miles away. I had often sneered at Christian Science and thought it a queer name to be given a religion, but I accepted Science and threw out all the medicine, and the disease went with it. I am extremely grateful for this and also for healings of fatigue, backache, sick headache of two or three days' duration, colds, grippe, pain in the top of my head, and also for protection, provision, and peace.

I am thankful for the quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily literature, which is carrying its healing message of truth and love to a weary, sin-sick world. My thanks to the Giver of all good and to Mrs. Eddy can best be expressed in her inspired words (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 106): "How shall mankind worship the most adorable, but most unadored,—and where shall begin that praise that shall never end? Beneath, above, beyond, methinks I hear the soft, sweet sigh of angels answering, 'So live, that your lives attest your sincerity and resound His praise.'"
