In September, 1932, I was taken with rheumatism, and it was so bad that I could not move without help. At length I lay in bed with all my limbs rigid, and I was in great pain. As an employee I was legally obliged to call a doctor. He prescribed medicine for me and told me such an illness in the regular course would last four to six months. This outlook was scarcely comforting to me. and in spite of the great pain which I felt, I could not persuade myself to take the medicine. My wife, who was a Christian Scientist and is today a member of a branch church, finally asked a Christian Science practitioner for help. The very first visit brought me from the pain. The healing then came with such astonishing rapidity that could hardly realize it. On the fifth day after treatment was begun I was able up and go to business by myself.
For this wonderful healing I am grateful to God from bottom of my heart. I am also thankful to Mrs. Eddy, the Discovered and Founder of Christian Science, as well as to the practitioner for the loving help given.
