A vicar is reported in a recent issue of your paper as predicting the end of the world, and as saying that "false prophets are arising with their Christian Science." The reverend gentleman is unaware of the true nature of Christian Science, else he would not have referred to it thus; and in case any of your readers are in doubt as to its teachings, I ask the courtesy of your columns for a brief explanation.
Christian Science, or the Science of Christianity, is a religion of love and healing. Far from being a false prophet, it is today restoring to great numbers of Christian people the elements of primitive Christianity as taught and demonstrated by the ancient prophets, apostles, and Christ Jesus, our Master.
Christian Science urges men to adopt the Christ as their only Saviour. It also shows them that by gaining a correct knowledge of their heavenly Father, divine Love, they may overcome evil.
