"In every thing give thanks"

When my grateful waking thought
Rises into prayer,
Father, I will thank Thee,
First of all will thank Thee,
For Thy watchful care.

When about the tasks of home
Orderly I move,
Then, God, will I thank Thee,
Fervently will thank Thee,
For Thy mother-love.

If I'm called to serve my turn
In the busy mart,
Then I'll gladly thank Thee,
Truly will I thank Thee
From a grateful heart.

Wheresoe'er my work may lie,
Ceasing not to pray,
Thou, in whom I live and move,
Who art Life and Truth and Love,
Will direct my way.
