Words cannot express my gratitude to God for Christian Science, and to the practitioners who so patiently helped my parents and me in overcoming the limiting beliefs of our former teachings. Indeed, God has been my refuge and strength, a very present help at all times.

In the past thirty years many physical as well as financial needs have been met through Christian Science. When a young girl, I was healed of eczema in a very severe form. At the birth of my first child, I was brought out of "the valley of the shadow of death." The birth of my second child was painless, and on the fourth day I was doing my own housework without any ill effects.

I am thankful for having had the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School, and that now my children are enjoying the same privilege. My daughter, when four years old, accidentally spilled a large kettle of boiling soup from the stove over her entire body. Her face and the inside of her mouth, her back and arms, were badly burned. I called a practitioner, who gave her absent treatment at once. Never shall I forget how close God was to me and my child at this time. In half an hour the pain and fear of death were completely overcome. The first two days she slept peacefully most of the time. In two weeks she was able to be out playing in her usual way. A physician who had heard of the case came to see the child and said it was the most remarkable healing he had ever seen.
