Special Lecture Notice

Churches and societies will please note particularly the changes made in the following notice, in regard to the time when lecture notices should reach this department.

To ensure that complete lecture notices be printed in the Sentinel, detailed information should reach the Journal, Sentinel, and Herald Editorial Department regarding lectures in the United States and Canada, at least five weeks before the date of the lecture; in Great Britain and Ireland, at least six weeks before; in other European countries, at least eight weeks before. When lectures are to be radiocast, it should be so stated, station and frequency in kilocycles being included. The receipt of all information from the United States and Canada is acknowledged by the Editorial Department. If an acknowledgment is not received within a reasonable time, a duplicate notice should be forwarded.

Notice

Churches and societies in Great Britain and Ireland and on the Continent are reminded that applications for lectures should be made by the Clerks in June, as soon as possible after the names of the lecturers assigned to these countries are announced, following the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church, and not later than July 1. It would be helpful if these churches and societies, in appointing their Lecture Committees, would bear in thought the fact that the members of these Committees should be able to communicate with each other at this time and throughout the summer.

The lecture schedules cannot be arranged satisfactorily until all calls are in hand. Early applications will greatly assist in the speedy and harmonious settlement of individual dates. This is not meant to exclude the making of an occasional extra call should the need arise in some locality.
