"Lead me in thy truth" (Ps. 25:5)—The Hebrew preposition which is used here can mean either "in" or "by" (cf. Brown, Driver, Briggs: Hebrew Lexicon, p. 88ff.); so an alternative rendering would be: "Lead me by thy truth."

"On thee do I wait" (Ps. 25:5)—The verb translated "wait" also means to "look eagerly for" (Brown, etc., op. cit., p. 875). Smith translates: "Upon thee do I hope."

"Let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour"
