When I was a child my mother was healed of a severe nervous breakdown in just a few treatments in Christian Science, after our family physician and a nerve specialist had done all they could for her; but she did not become sufficiently interested in Science to study it until some years later.

I was in delicate health at the time of my mother's healing, and was continually taking different kinds of medicine. After Science was presented to us I attended the Christian Science Sunday School. I stopped taking medicine and began enjoying a better sense of health than I had before. Many ills disappeared through applying what I had learned of this Science. One healing I had was of chronic colds which were very severe every winter. After I had been studying Science for a short time, a severe manifestation of cold came on me one evening; but after reading our textbook I went to sleep, and the next morning I awoke entirely free. I was also healed of a bad case of influenza, and of great fear of thunder and lightning.

My feet gave me a lot of trouble and I used bandages for a year and a half and then wore arch supports. One orthopedic authority told me that if I ever stooped wearing them my small toes would come out of their sockets. I finally found the courage to stop wearing the supports, knowing that Truth was the only support I needed. That was eight or nine years ago, and my toes have remained normal.
