I am happy to express my gratitude to Christian Science...
I am happy to express my gratitude to Christian Science for the wonderful healing of one of my children. Four years ago my little daughter suffered from curvature of the spine, Pott's disease, and a deficiency of vertebral disc. On the advice of the doctor I left immediately for Switzerland, to put her in a clinic. At this juncture I heard for the first time about Christian Science, its blessings and healings, through a person who also gave me the address of a practitioner. I went to see the practitioner, and at once asked for help, which was given with much love and consecration. A change began to be noticeable; at the end of eight days my little girl held herself fairly straight and was up and about all day. She no longer felt any pain. The doctor had ordered us to have her lie on her back constantly for a year or more, and during the next four or five years to let her stay in a sanatorium.
Five months later, as my little girl was entirely restored, we decided to return to Brussels; and before leaving I went to see the doctor. His colleague was present, and after an examination both were astonished, and said that it was a most unusual case. In this short time the tubercular abscess had entirely disappeared, and yet the child had not been kept on her back.
I find no words to express my deep gratitude to our Father-Mother God for this wonderful healing and for the many blessings my family has received; also to our beloved Leader, who through her unselfish love has given Christian Science to the world, thus aiding all humanity to seek and find the truth which sets us free. I am also sincerely grateful to the practitioner who made known to me this wonderful religion and helped me so consecratedly; also to the dear friends who acquainted me with Christian Science. I am grateful that I am a member of a branch church and of The Mother Church, and that my children have the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School.
