It is with sincere gratitude that I give this testimony of healing. I am grateful for an honest desire to know more about God and man's relationship to Him.

Over eight years ago a member of my family persuaded me to call on a Christian Science practitioner. At this time it was considered necessary to use strong cathartics. The doctor told me that the rectum was closing, due to the pressure of another organ upon it. He wanted to operate, telling me that if it was not done at that time it would be absolutely necessary at some future time. Upon the first visit to the practitioner I was instantaneously healed of this condition. Through this healing, a great desire to know more about God was awakened and an earnest longing to serve Him.

I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church and for class instruction; also for the privilege of serving in many of the activities of a branch church. I am learning to know that "I can of mine own self do nothing: ... because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father."
