When I was nine years old my mother asked for help for me in Christian Science, after five physicians in one of the large hospitals in this city had given me up to die. I had been operated on for appendicitis, and uremic poisoning had set in. The healing was beautiful. When my mother returned to the hospital in a few hours I was sitting up in bed, bright and cheerful. Three days later the kidneys were functioning normally and I was able to eat heartily. The next week I was again at home partaking of a Thanksgiving dinner. It was said by the physicians that I would suffer all my life from kidney and bowel trouble. Both of these conditions were healed, and I was also healed of tuberculosis at this time without any specific work being done.

I desire to express my gratitude for the training I received in the Christian Science Sunday School, which I began to attend after leaving the hospital. I could not began to tell of the wonderful protection and care I have received in all these years through the help of the healing truth of Christian Science. In the solving of school, financial, physical, business, and home problems, this Science has been a wonderful help and inspiration.
