Christian Science has been such a benefit to me that I feel I must record an expression of gratitude to our beloved Leader, and also to those who have labored and are now laboring in the vineyard, maintaining the quality of its fruitage, while ever increasing the quantity.

As my mother was a Christian Scientist, I attended the Sunday school and learned the simple truths taught there. These no doubt were, though more unconsciously than consciously, a help in my school and college life, enabling me to go step by step through the stages of higher and university education, a thing seemingly almost impossible of attainment at the outset.

It was not until about eight years ago, however, that I took up the study of Christian Science in earnest, subscribed for the literature, and entered more fully into branch church activities. Since that time life has taken on a larger meaning for me, as I am finding in each experience encountered a lesson to be learned "by the translation of man and the universe back into Spirit" (Science and Health, p. 209).
