I am very grateful for having been privileged to perceive the truth. At one time when I was sick in bed a dear friend told me of Christian Science. The practitioner who treated me acquainted me with the glorious Christ, Truth, and for this I owe him grat gratitude. I then studied the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I progressed but slowly, because doubt hampered my steps.

My lungs had been affected since I was seven years old. Ever since that time I had been confined to my bed every spring and every fall with severe attacks of asthma, which often troubled me so greatly at night that I could not close my eyes and had to spend the entire night sitting up. The slightest chilliness caused other organs to be inflaed also. Every endeavor of the doctors and specialists to relieve me of this difficulty was fruitless. "The trouble is chronic," they told me repeatedly. "We can alleviate it, but it can never be healed."

While I was in this condition Christian Science found me with its glad message, God is Love. It is like a light in the deep night, a light that shines through all the clouds of sickness and suffering, revealing in their stead perfection and harmony.
