Through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy for the last eighteen years, like many others I have been healed of physical discords, amongst which were the offensive and severe symptoms of catarrh in the head, colds, headaches, frozen feet, and other physical pain. An attack of influenza was overcome in two days. I have also been lovingly helped by practitioners in cases of accidents. At one time in the place where I was employed I slipped and struck my head against a machine; the next thing I knew someone was dressing a wound above my left eye, for the blow had rendered me unconscious. I continued my work, and an hour later found myself awakening a second time in the office of the company. This prompted me to enlist the aid of a practitioner, and I was then able to perform my duties for the balance of the day without losing consciousness again. The wound was healed in three days without leaving a scar. On another occasion the skin of my face was healed in three days after having been burned by a gas explosion.

My entire family has been benefited by Christian Science, my mother having had an instantaneous healing from a severe attack of influenza, although she is not a student of Christian Science. This was one of the most convincing experiences I have had in Christian Science, for my mother was delirious and indeed seemed very near the end when help in Christian Science was asked for. Three years ago a small growth about the size of a pea appeared on one of my Lower eyelids, and I was told that it would be necessary to have it cut out as it would get larger as time went on. Again I relied on the efficacy of Christian Science and trusted entirely in God, and with the intelligent help of a practitioner this condition was overcome in three weeks and has never returned.

For all these healings I am very grateful, but I am most grateful to God, who has reclaimed me from being an infidel through the inspired writings of our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy. These have revealed to me to some extent the practical and healing Christ of the Bible. The privileges of class instruction and of membership in The Mother Church are added blessings which enable me better to serve the Cause of Christian Science, thereby expressing my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for all she has done to bless mankind.
