In 1914 my son, then a baby boy of about four years, was in the last stages of tuberculosis; and after several physicians had done all they could do I asked for Christian Science help just as I would have asked for help from any prevailing material methods, without a conscious belief in God, and with a contempt for all forms of religion. But I wanted my boy's life saved. He was given one treatment and was instantaneously healed.

At the same time I had been suffering with a valvular condition of the heart (pronounced incurable by doctors) and I had only desired to live long enough to be able to attend the boy's passing on. After his marvelous healing I read the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, starting in at three in the afternoon and continuing far into the morning, trying to find out how the healing of my son had taken place after materia medica had failed. Then I tried really to understand how it was accomplished, by reading continuously. In three weeks' time I was healed of the valvular heart condition of several years' standing by reading this textbook. Both healings have been permanent. At the time of my healing by Christian Science I was a graduate medical nurse in good standing.

Love forced me into my own good by giving me Christian Science. I was later able to witness many other healings by Christian Science treatments: healings of tumors, paralysis, epilepsy, heart trouble, tuberculosis, insanity, mental and nervous disorders; fractures, burns, scalds, and many painless and normal experiences of childbirth; also the removal and dissolving of cancer.
