Through seeing the wonderful healing of my mother I became interested in Christian Science. The doctors had said that she needed an operation on the gall bladder, but would not be able to undergo it on account of her state of general weakness. She had treatment from a Christian Science practitioner and was quickly healed.

I began to study and make good demonstrations. After some time, expecting the birth of a child, I asked a practitioner to give me treatment. For several months she did so, but when there were only a few days left she had to go away on a trip. In this way it happened that when the hour of my confinement came she was not there; but the work was done, and a baby girl was born without trouble of any kind. To make the demonstration more complete, the doctor, who did not know about the Christian Science treatment I was having, did not prescribe any medicine either for the child or for me. Our daughter is now two years old, and has never taken any medicine; she knows only the help of Truth, and knows how to pray the prayer given by Mrs. Eddy on page 400 of "Miscellaneous Writings."

I am very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for having discovered this great Science which teaches us to know God, and for the innumerable benefits bestowed upon us, which have come to me through the little I can study, as I do not know English and our Christian Science literature in Spanish is very limited.
