With a thankful heart I wish to relate a wonderful healing which I witnessed through the ministry of Christian Science.

Four years ago my married daughter became very ill. At that time I had known of Christian Science for only a year, but had already experienced its beneficent and healing power. In time of health I had brought this glorious truth to my daughter's attention, but she turned away from it. At the outset of a bad case of influenza, however, she wished to have help in Christian Science, which rejoiced me very much. After three or four days the disease was so aggravated that she had her husband call me in the middle of the night. She began to sink into a semiconscious condition, and the next morning was quite delirious. Since I had let in some fear, I asked a practitioner for help for my daughter. We asked the patient, in a lucid interval, if she wished to have a doctor, but she refused. However, in order to find out what he would say ailed my daughter, we called one; but he seemed unable to diagnose the type of disease, and said to wait and see how the delirious condition developed. He said he would come back the next day, but I declined his further attendance with the remark that we would call him if we wished him to come. We were relying only on divine Love.
