I was suddenly stricken with lockjaw

I was suddenly stricken with lockjaw. For four days I could not eat or drink anything at all. My sister sent for a doctor. I fought against the false sense of death with all the remaining strength I had. The only word I could say was "No"; and I surely said it. She then sent the doctor word not to come. At this point Christian Science treatment was given me. With the first treatment my jaws unlocked enough so that I could take some nourishment, and I was able to arise from my uncomfortable couch and walk upstairs to my bed. In four days more the jaws unlocked perfectly, and I was able to be up. In another week I was at my usual daily tasks.

This was two years and a half ago. I am still in pretty good health, considering that I am now past eighty years of age and doing as much work as many young people can do.
