The Lectures

Introductions to Lectures

Morgantown, West Virginia (First Church).

Lecturer: James G. Rowell; introduced by Mrs. Dove Adams Bretz, who said:—

I well remember one of the first lectures I ever attended, when I seemed almost too ill to hear it to the close. At that time I was not aware of the peace and the healing that were to come to me through the years, as I gained a better understanding of God and of man's relationship to Him. Mrs. Eddy says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (pp. 365, 366), "The poor suffering heart needs its rightful nutriment, such as peace, patience in tribulation, and a priceless sense of the dear Father's loving-kindness." This is what has come to me through the study of the Bible and Science and Health.
