For the past seventeen years I have experienced the spiritual growth and joy that comes to a student of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. As thought goes back over the years a flood of gratitude fills my heart for the many healings resulting from the application of Christian Science, as taught in the Bible and our textbook.

The first healing was a speedy and complete recovery from what the attending physician called gallstones. The counsel was given that preparation be made for an operation as soon as I gained sufficient strength. Knowing nothing at that time of Christian Science, but remembering a conversation overheard some weeks previous regarding the case of a woman who had been healed through Christian Science treatment after physicians had despaired of her life, I determined to see if it would heal me. Help was obtained at once from a Christian Science practitioner, and the healing took place in a very short time. Needless to say, there was no surgical operation. It was pointed out to me then that wrong thinking had caused the trouble, and during the conversation with the practitioner a great sense of bitterness and disappointment was destroyed in my thought.

I have also been healed of sciatic rheumatism and pleurisy, and have had several convincing proofs of God's loving protection at times of threatened accident.
