My heart overflows with joy and gratitude for our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who from childhood was so pure and courageous. She was indisputably divinely inspired. Through her wisdom and foresight she has hedged her organization about with a wall of protection through the Manual of The Mother Church. I am also grateful for every pioneer of Truth, from faithful Abraham to the present-day disciples.

When I think of the wonderful light and changed concept of God and man, and his at-one-ment with the Father-Mother God, which I have gained through Christian Science, and of the wonderful revelation that has come to me, the physical healings seem very small. My first healing was of astigmatism, for which I had worn glasses nearly twelve years, and which was overcome in one treatment. A very severe case of malarial fever with complications of grippe, after the doctor had told me he could do no more, was healed on the third day; so that I took a two hours' railroad journey. It was at this time I was handed the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and parted with all material remedies; whereas before, I was always dosing not only myself but everyone that I could in a human way do something for. I had studied medicine and nursing, as this was my highest concept of serving humanity at that time. This was in 1908. Since then I have been healed of chronic headache and backache and a severe case of influenza. I have also been instantaneously healed of an abscessed tooth and excruciating pain, while talking with a practitioner on the telephone. Bleeding from a wound stopped at once. In fact, my very life has been protected and sustained under the most trying circumstances.

My husband was healed of intestinal influenza, and I am sure no other power but God could have saved him. Every member of my family has been healed. One was healed of a so-called incurable condition, and another saved from a surgical operation.
