I have received many blessings during nine years' study of Christian Science, and should like to tell of one healing which took place in January, 1926, with the hope that it will help someone.

While I never had a medical diagnosis of the trouble, there was every evidence of an internal growth, both from the bodily appearance and from the intense pain, which finally became constant. I was having absent treatment from a Christian Science practitioner, and one day I wrote her that I had never been so sick in my life and could hardly sit up to write, but that I felt no fear. Relatives who were in the home at the time were greatly alarmed, and wanted to send for absent members of the family. Instead of that, I had a Christian Science friend come and read to me from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Finally I fell asleep and did not awaken until morning; then I was conscious of a great change. I was entirely free from pain, and so at peace that it was blissful: I could think only of the calm that comes after a storm. We are told in Science and Health (p. 162) that Christian Science "dissolves tumors;" and whatever the difficulty was, there was evidence that it did dissolve and pass off later that same morning. The healing was complete and permanent, a wonderful proof of the power of "the universal solvent of Love" (Ibid., p. 242).

Such false mental traits as impatience, irritability, and jealousy are also being put off, and others in the family have recognized a change in my disposition in these years that I have been striving to live the teachings of Christian Science.
