In March, 1923, I had a very serious operation. I seemed to get along well until almost fall, when I began to feel worse than before I went to the hospital. I knew that if one operation was not successful, another might not be, so I asked a friend, a student of Christian Science, for treatment. She did not treat me, but gave me her copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy to read; and I read every moment I could find time, with the result that I experienced an instantaneous healing of an inflamed bladder that the doctors had not been able to help, and also of bronchial trouble. The bronchial trouble, however, returned in about a year and I had to have help from a practitioner; but I have had no trouble with it since.

There was a complete healing of the internal trouble in about six weeks, just through my own study. I was also healed of bad tonsils without any help, and three times of a burned hand. Hay fever was overcome in about ten days with the loving help of a practitioner.

It would take too long to tell of all the healings I have had. I am most grateful for the overcoming of a bad disposition and for learning to love my fellow man through seeing more and more God's perfect child.
