It was in 1912 that I had my first healing in Christian Science

It was in 1912 that I had my first healing in Christian Science. At that time I was suffering from tuberculosis, which I had contracted three years prior to this. I had tried many material remedies without relief, but with a steady loss of strength. I was also suffering with intestinal trouble.

Life to me at this time was anything but promising. I was, however, induced to try Christian Science. My wife and I attended the next Sunday service, and before the service was over I knew that I would get my healing through this truth. That afternoon we called on a practitioner and help was lovingly given. The healing was instantaneous and permanent.

I was also healed some years later of the tobacco habit, but not so easily. I learned that mortal mind does not give up so readily when it comes to its so-called pleasures. It was a long struggle, but the truth won, as it always does if we continue to apply it. Glasses which I had worn for twenty-one years were also laid aside. For these healings, and many others that have come to our family, I am truly grateful. Since my first healing, Christian Science has been the only help in our family for the solving of every problem that has presented itself, and it has never failed when lovingly applied.
