It is impossible for me to express even a fraction of my gratitude to divine Love, which daily bestows so much of good, and which led me to this teaching, which is "for every man to understand and to practise," as Mrs. Eddy says on page 98 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."

When I came into Christian Science I was told that help was possible even though medical aid had failed. We attended the Christian Science services and studied the Christian Science periodicals, and this brought about a great change in our way of thinking. Prior to this we had believed that God sent all our suffering and that we must bear it patiently. Now we learned that God entertained only love for all, and that He delivers from sin, disease, and poverty. It was as though light had suddenly entered our consciousness. A little later I was freed from stomach trouble from which I had suffered since I was a child. Since then—it is at least ten years—we have had innumerable proofs of God's ever present help in times of sickness and lack. I was healed quickly, by the truth, of loss of hair and the grippe.
