Christian Science has given me more freedom than I ever expected on this earth. About twelve years ago, while ill with pneumonia and suffering intensely from complications, I consented to have Christian Science treatment, hoping it might release me from pain. A practitioner visited me, and from then on the healing took place: the pain ceased, the fever went down, the hemorrhage stopped, and once again I was able to breathe without difficulty; and I returned to my work in a very short period. Recovering from this experience I found that a desire for strong drink had left me, and also the chewing and smoking of tobacco, a habit which had been with me for seventeen years. Neither have I cared for tea or coffee since that time.

Some months later I was healed of deafness and earache which had been nearly a lifelong problem. After days of continuous earache I sent to a practitioner for help. In less than an hour the pain suddenly ceased, the abscess broke, my hearing returned to normal, and I felt regenerated beyond description. The return of my hearing has meant much to me, because my telephone work includes making accurate instrument tests.

Our home has been made happier in raising five children free from medicine with its so-called physical action. About three years ago six of us were healed of an annoying skin disorder which was very persistent and obstinate. We all regained our natural bodily hue without a scar. These are only a few of the things for which we are most grateful to Christian Science and Mrs. Eddy.
