The Christian Science Nurse

Our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 395), "The nurse should be cheerful, orderly, punctual, patient, full of faith,—receptive to Truth and Love." It is interesting to note the order in which these qualities are placed; and as one studies them it will be seen that they are among the fruits of the Spirit.

Every sincere worker who desires to serve God strives to reflect divine Principle. He listens to Principle, and he is obedient to Principle. Therefore he works on till these qualities become a part of his consciousness. On the way, many battles are fought and won, many lessons are learned; but every stepping-stone reached and passed means a victory. And what joy is experienced when false traits of character are replaced by true one! Let those who are discouraged remember the words of the hymn,
