"Retrospection and Introspection" Now Published in Revised Braille

Announcement is made by the Publishers of Mrs. Eddy's Works of the printing of "Retrospection and Introspection," by Mary Baker Eddy, in the Revised Braille system of type for the blind. This new edition of Mrs. Eddy's autobiography appears in one volume of 137 pages, size 101/2 x 111/4 inches. By the use of interpointing, or printing on both sides of the page, it has been possible to produce a Braille volume considerably smaller in size and bulk than heretofore. The first two pages of each volume give an explanation of the Braille system and also the complete Braille alphabet, as well as punctuation marks, numerals, and part-word signs, for the benefit of those who desire to learn to read Braille.

New Editions of Science and Health in Blue

The call from the Field for color in the binding of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" has been so insistent that the Trustees under the Will of Mary Baker Eddy have authorized the publication of two new editions of the textbook in color.

In selecting a color, the universal combination of blue and gold seen in the sky and sunshine seemed to present the most pleasing effect, and so the new editions are bound in blue and stamped in gold.

The pocket edition of Science and Health is now obtainable in blue morocco, as well as in standard black morocco, printed on Oxford India Bible paper, limp, round corners, gilt edges, single copy $5.00; six or more, each $4.75.

A new edition, the Edition De Luxe, is bound in blue levant, printed on heavy opaque Oxford India Bible paper, large page, 5 x 7 inches, with liberal margins and clear type. Single copy $8.50; six or more, each $8.25.

New Large Levant Concordances

Announcement is made of the publication of a new large levant edition of the "Concordance to Science and Health" and also of the "Concordance to Miscellaneous Writings and Works Other Than Science and Health."

The new Concordances are printed on India Bible paper from the large plates used in printing the former stiff morocco editions, and are greatly improved. being bound in levant leather-lined gold-stamped covers. With the advent of these new editions, the Concordances are now made available in two large sizes, cloth and levant, and also in the pocket morocco size.

Translations of "Rudimental Divine Science" and "No and Yes" now Published in Six Languages

"Rudimental Divine Science" and "No and Yes," by Mary Baker Eddy, are now published in the Danish, Dutch. French, German, Norwegian, and Swedish languages. Each translation is in one volume with alternate pages of English and the translation, and is issued in both library and pocket editions, uniform in size with the library and pocket editions of other writings by Mrs. Eddy.

Science and Health for the Blind

The Trustees under the Will of Mary Baker Eddy have authorized the publication of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy in Revised Braille, Grade One and a Half, for the use of the blind.

In brailling the textbook, the regular ink-print edition has been followed page for page and line for line, as far as it has been found practical, so that throughout the volumes. with few exceptiors, the words on any Braille line are made to correspond with the ink-print line in the textbook. The lines are numbered on the right margin.

The first page in each volume contains a brief but comprehensive explanation of Revised Braille. Grade One and a Half, in raised roman letters easily read by sight, and also the complete Revised Braille alphabet, together with punctuation marks, numerals, word and part-word signs, and compound signs.

The Christian Science textbook in Revised Braille comprises five volumes, 13 x 133/4 inches, varying in bulk, and containing all of the chapters excepting the final chapter on Fruitage. The books are printed on heavy ledger paper, and are substantially bound in fabrikoid. Price of the five volumes, $12.50 the set. Volumes of the textbook for the blind will not be sold singly. Contributions to the Periodicals

Articles and poems from members of The Mother Church and good testimonies from those healed by Christian Science are always welcomed for consideration by the Editors. They should be typewritten (double spaced), or written legibly, on one side of the paper only; and the addresses given should be complete; also the source of all quotations should be given. Women should use the title "Miss" or "Mrs.," and married women should sign their own names in full, instead of the names of their husbands.

Testimonies should be verified by three members of The Mother Church, who have either witnessed the healing or can vouch for the integrity of the testifier. Preferably one of the verifiers should be a church officer; in which case the title of the office should be given. The addresses of all verifiers should be furnished. If the testifier is not acquainted with members of The Mother Church, an affidavit made before a Notary Public is acceptable. In this case, however, the signature of at least one member should also be obtained if possible.

Manuscripts for publication in the Journal and Sentinel, whether articles, poems. or testimonies, and correspondence relating thereto, should not be addressed to individuals, but to the Journal and Sentinel Editorial Department, The Christian Science Publishing Society, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston, Massachusetts. This includes religious articles for The Christian Science Monitor.

Compliance with the foregoing will greatly facilitate the work of the Editorial Department.


CHURCH TENETS FOR USE OF BRANCH ORGANIZATIONS

The Tenets of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, for the use of branch Churches of Christ, Scientist, are printed on sheets containing space for adding the application forms for membership in branch organizations, or extracts from their by-laws. Because the Tenets of The Mother Church are copyrighted, branch organizations may not print these Tenets as part of then by-laws or as application forms for membership in their organizations. Copies for either purpose may be secured from the Clerk of The Mother Church at seventy-five cents a hundred, the minimum order The large size is for application forms, the small size for binding into booklets. Unless otherwise specified the large size will be sent. Remittances should accompany all orders. Postage stamps should not be sent in payment.

The Tenets may also be obtained in either size, printed on alternate pages in English and German, England and French, or English and Italian.

FROM THE CHURCH TREASURER

Per Capita Tax as provided in the Church Manual, Article VIII, Section 13, is due annually from "every member of The Mother Church," and "shall be forwarded each year to the Church Treasurer." This tax of "not less than one dollar" may be paid at any time during the fiscal year (May 1, 1930, to April 30, 1931), but should be forwarded preferably during the six months' period from October, 1930, to March, 1931. Unless the facts indicate other-wise, the entire amount remitted is credited to the close of the fiscal year in which it is received. When remitting, please inform the Treasurer of any change in your permanent address.

Contributions to The Christian Science Benevolent Association in Boston, to The Christian Science Pleasant View Home in Concord, New Hampshire, to Christian Science Benevolent Association on Pacific Coast, and to the various other Funds of The Mother Church, such as the General Fund, the Real Estate Fund, the Endowment and Extension Fund, and the Charitable Institutions Fund, are acceptable.
