In response to your very generous offer of space for a reply to the article appearing in the July issue of the American Labor World, I am glad to write briefly.

It is to be regretted that the writer took his material from the Snowden book, "The Truth About Christian Science." This book is unfriendly to Christian Science and is misleading as well as unfair to this Christian religion. There is no necessity for turning for information to the Snowden book, when original sources are open at the free Christian Science Reading Rooms in every community where there is a church of this denomination.

Those who question the greatness of the accomplishment of Mrs. Eddy would do well to note the recognition great governments and representative institutions conferred upon Mrs. Eddy, without solicitation. The Victoria Institute of London, England, as an example, paid Mrs. Eddy the compliment of electing her to associate life-membership. The French Government made her an officer of the French Academy at the instance of M. Briand, then French Prime Minister, and now a world figure.
