Brief Items of Interest

The Christian Science Board of Directors has authorized the publication in this column of brief items relating to our Cause.

All who can will do well to visit the site of the new Christian Science Pacific Coast Sanatorium in San Francisco, where building operations are actively progressing. The foundations as now laid show the outlines of a structure imposing in its proportions and picturesque in its surroundings. Visiting Christian Scientists from the East and elsewhere will find it profitable to inspect the property for themselves. As the Christian Science Pacific Coast Benevolent Association is not a local institution but belongs to the entire field, it is worthy of the most substantial support we can give it.

It is sometimes a question as to where money for The Mother Church should be applied, when a branch or an individual is about to send in a contribution. That they are so appreciated by many is to be seen in the generally large daily attendance by all manner of earnest people. In Boston, The Mother Church maintains three spacious Reading Rooms, two down town in the business district, and one in the Church Office Building at 206 Massachusetts Avenue. In the past year the attendance at the three Reading Rooms was more than one hundred and twenty-eight thousand people.
