I have had many healings, including those of heart and kidney trouble. My husband was wonderfully healed after he fell from a moving train. He landed on his face, breaking his nose and fracturing his jaw bone, but was able to go on with his work in less than a week. Another time he had his hand crushed so badly that the company physician thought it necessary to amputate the little finger; but through the understanding and application of Christian Science, his finger was saved and a new nail grew. He was able to proceed with his work after four days, although it was necessary for him to use the hand constantly.
Our children have been healed of many so-called children's diseases, including croup, whooping cough, and grippe; and for these blessings I am truly grateful.
I should like to express my gratitude for our Christian Science practitioners, who stand so faithfully at their posts of duty, ever ready to help us to understand God and the real man. I am truly grateful for the loving help given me at different times. I am also grateful for the Christian Science Sunday Schools and for the privilege of teaching in one; for the Reading Rooms; and for all the literature, especially the Monitor, which is surely doing the work Mrs. Eddy intended it to do, namely, "to injure no man, but to bless all mankind" (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 353). I can only say with the Psalmist, "Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."
