As gratitude is the heart's sincere desire to express thankfulness,...
As gratitude is the heart's sincere desire to express thankfulness, I give this testimony of my healing through the application of Christian Science, as taught in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. When I was mentally, physically, and financially at the end of human endurance, after trying every remedy prescribed by physicians, including osteopathy, my brother, who is a physician, gave up my case, saying: "My dear sister, we can do no more for you. It is now between yourself and God."
For many days thereafter I did not have a natural sleep, but would lapse from one attack of unconsciousness into another. At this time my husband called in a friend of mine who is a Christian Science practitioner. I seemed so far gone when they asked me if I would try Christian Science treatment that I could just nod my head to make them understand that I was willing. A loving Christian Science nurse was immediately put on the case, and treatment was begun. Mentally, I seemed to be in the vestibule between the mortal and the immortal, where I came face to face with God as my one Physician and only Saviour. Through the operation of divine law and the process of regeneration, the light of Truth dawned, eliminating the illusions of sin, disease, and death, and they disappeared into their native nothingness. As a ray of light is inseparable from the sun, so was man revealed to me as being inseparable from God. I learned that man lives, moves, and has his being in God. This healing was slow, and covered a period of several years. In Isaiah we read, "But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little."
Words are inadequate to express my gratitude to all who have helped me in my journey from sense to Soul.
