When Christian Science was first spoken of to me as a means of healing, I ignorantly turned it aside; but within a very short time, and without any other mention being made of it, quite suddenly I realized that it was one thing we had not tried, and resolved then and there to put it to the test. I was suffering at the time, and had been for several years, from a tubercular leg, for which we had tried almost every known remedy, including several surgical operations and rest cures. I asked help from a Christian Science practitioner in a distant town, and after two weeks' absent treatment was entirely and permanently healed. This healing took place over nine years ago, and since then Christian Science has been our only physician.

I shall never forget the relief and the joy that were mine when the Christian Science teaching about God and man was explained to me. While I am thankful indeed for freedom from the physical trouble, I am much more grateful for the better understanding of God which I have gained. Christian Science has been our Comforter and sustained us wonderfully during a period of sorrow, for we glimpsed somewhat the fact that Life has no beginning and therefore no ending. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and for all its activities; also for the Church Manual, which has been our guide on many occasions. Mrs. Eddy is indeed God's messenger to this age. My heart goes out in thankfulness to her, that she was spiritually-minded enough to receive this revelation, and unselfish enough to labor to give it to mankind. For those who so patiently and lovingly have helped me along the way, I am most grateful.—(Mrs.)Nellie Dolby, Heighington, Lincoln, England.
