I should like to tell of a healing of inflammation of the heart, following influenza, which I experienced eight years ago. I had been in bed a year and a half. The doctors said that my case had become chronic, and that the heart was displaced. They also stated that, should I become able to be up part of the time, with an attack of the grippe the heart trouble would follow in a more severe form.
At this time Christian Science was presented to me, and after one or two treatments I was healed and have had no return of the trouble. About two weeks after the healing, while walking down the street I felt as if the disturbed organ were slipping back into place, and from that time I could walk erect. I have had other beautiful proofs of God's care in the healing of tonsillitis, grippe, blood poisoning, and a cough that seemed very alarming. These physical healings have meant much to me; but for the joy that comes with knowing that God is ever present, and that He does not send sickness and trouble to His children, I feel abundantly grateful.
I am sincerely grateful for the loving, unselfish life of Mrs. Eddy, and thankful to the dear practitioners who have helped me along the way.
