I wish to express my gratitude for the good which I have received through the understanding of the truth as taught by Mrs. Eddy. When Christian Science first came to my notice, I was a chronic sufferer from severe bowel trouble and bronchitis; also from other ills. One physician told me that my lungs were like wet paper, ready to tear at any time. I had tried many physicians, but received no help until obtained a copy of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, through which the truth is revealed to world. I did not have Christian Science treatment for these ailments, but was healed by the careful and prayerful study of this wonderful book.

I had been troubled with my eyes for over twenty-five years. A few years ago I went away from home and forgot my glasses, without which I could neither read nor write. I had read the first chapter of Science and Health many times before, but on Sunday morning I read the first six pages before I thought about my glasses; and I am glad to be able to say that I have not required them since. I have proved Jesus' statement, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." The past few years of health and harmony have been spent in trying to learn more, and to hold fast that which is good.
