[Written for the Sentinel]

Onward

I Do not ask to see the journey's way,
But with a faith transcending sight would know
That Thou, my God, wilt lead from day to day
By chosen paths, prepared for me to go.

Then do I pray, Thy will, not mine, be done,
And onward take each trusting step with Thee,
Rejoicing till the vision shall be won—
Full recognition of reality.
