May I be allowed space in your paper for some remarks regarding an article in a recent issue of your esteemed paper dealing with the subject of Christian Science. It was there stated that the Christian Science textbook declares the record of the second creation of man to be a lie about man. The book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, teaches that the record of man's creation is to be found in the first chapter of Genesis, where we read that "God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." This man is, according to the teaching of Christian Science, the only real man, and he is spiritual, as he is the image of God. It is taught that the image and likeness of God, Spirit, is not to be found in a material body; that the likeness of Spirit must be like Spirit.
