I have experienced so much good by reading the testimonies of healing in our periodicals that I feel impelled to relate an experience I had last spring.

Owing to carelessness, my hearing seemed to have completely left me. My relatives were filled with fear, and in spite of my endeavor to apply the truth the condition grew worse. When a severe toothache was added to this, I turned to a dear Christian Science practitioner, who declared the truth for me, and helped me. After my first visit the pain was completely overcome. Some weeks later, when studying Mrs. Eddy's writings, I came upon the following passage in "Christian Healing" (p. 18): "There is no connection between Spirit and matter. Spirit never entered and it never escaped from matter; good and evil never dwelt together. There is in reality but the good: Truth is the real; error, the unreal." I have my full hearing again, and toothaches have disappeared entirely.

I am very grateful for the healings, but still more so for the understanding I have gained, which enables me to overcome the errors of sense with Truth. May God make me still more watchful and worthy to be called a sincere disciple of Jesus.—Hans Metzke, Hamburg, Germany.
