Sharon, Massachusetts (First Church). — At the corner of North Main and Highland Streets, in Sharon, the church building for First Church of Christ, Scientist, is being erected. This building is thirty-five feet wide and sixty-six feet long, and it stands about thirty feet from each street. In the first story is contained the auditorium, a room thirty-two feet wide and thirty-four feet long, seating one hundred and fifty persons. At the end of the building, toward Highland Street, is the Reading Room. The ground floor of the building contains the Sunday school room. At the end of the building there is an entrance to this floor, with connecting stairways to the first story. The architecture is in the Georgian style. The building is faced with red waterstruct brick, and all wood finish is painted white. It is expected that the building will be occupied before summer. The location is considered desirable, being in a residential part of the town, and not far from the business district.
