It is with a sincere sense of gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me that I wish to give this testimony. For the past five years I have been a student of Christian Science, and it makes me feel very humble indeed when I think of all the good that has come to me through the study of it. Our family have been made happy, and gradually made well. We have been reunited after two years of health seeking travel. We have become more patient with each other and with our fellow-men.

I wish especially to relate a healing I had when I accepted the teachings of our textbooks, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. After years of suffering and undergoing two major and two minor operations, I found my health unimproved. I had always been considered frail. I suffered from throat trouble, headaches, and pains in my side, and spent much of my time in bed. I had undergone the fourth operation, and had been out of the hospital a month, when I went to visit a sister living in a city several hundred miles away. When I arrived there I found that my side had become infected from stitches taken to close the incision. I was also suffering from throat trouble, which made it difficult to talk. I called a doctor, and after taking medicine two days I was no better. Then I sat and reasoned with myself, and wondered why I clung so forlornly to material means, since I knew something of the healing power of Christian Science; and I also knew that the only thing I could hope for in a medical way would be temporary relief. It was then I resolved to turn completely to God. I arose, walked across the floor, and which much effort made the telephone operator understand the number of a practitioner whom I had decide to call. A person at this number gave me another number to call, saying that the practitioner could be reached there. After a few moments of waiting I again took down the telephone receiver, and to my amazement and joy found that I was completely healed. This healing has always been a beautiful lesson to me. In these past five years I have never once been tempted to turn back. I have since had health, and a wonderful peace of mind.

My son has been healed of a long standing throat trouble. A pet dog in our home was healed in one week of a broken leg, healed so that there was no limp, and no ridge at the break.
