In humble gratitude to Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, I send the following testimony. As a certified surgical nurse, and one who did four and a half years of such service during the World War, I am very glad to testify to the healing power of Christian Science.

Two years ago I met with a bicycle accident and sustained a broken ankle. I turned to God at once, as we are taught in Christian Science, and realized a little that God is Spirit and that I am His child and therefore spiritual; hence I did not suffer very much. I was helped to the pavement, and sitting on a box tried to realize the truth. Someone suggested that a doctor should be called; and then I saw I needed a Christian Science practitioner, and accordingly asked a person standing near to go for one for me. And to my joy, instead of thinking me a crank and refusing, he went off to do it at once, thus showing that the words "Christian Science" mean something even to those who are ignorant of its teachings.

With only Christian Science treatment I was healed. I was walking in ten days, and had not the leg been X-rayed I should not have believed that it had been broken. A doctor on seeing it predicted all sorts of things, of which none came to pass, and I did not even have a splint on. At the end of a month I was doing all my own work, even to carrying coal from the bottom to the top of the house, where my rooms were, with the greatest ease.
