Not so long ago men read their Bibles and by a blind faith received blessings from the truths therein told, but they did not know how to apply these truths to their everyday needs. As they went out into the world and saw where evil seemingly triumphed over good, and was getting great rewards, their faith would waver, and they would wander in darkness and grope for Truth.
